Lots of travel this month not so much reading. It happens sometimes. I had two fourteen four flight during which I could have been reading, but I just didn't have the attention span for it. I watched, like, an entire season of Chopped. Excellent use of time, Tara. Anyhow, here are the books I did get to.
by Jenn Bennett
“Before, my anxiety was singing solo. Now all this weird anticipation and jumbled excitement has added some strange harmonies into the mix. I’m a barbershop quartet basket case.”
"Angelita and I are dancing on a groaning table like its New Year’s Eve, as if our revolution is over and Caballo the dictator has grabbed all the desserts and flown away."
To All the Boys I've Loved Before
by Jenny Han
“When someone's been gone a long time, at first you save up all the things you want to tell them. You try to keep track of everything in your head. But it's like trying to hold on to a fistful of sand: all the little bits slip out of your hands, and then you're just clutching air and grit.”
“Lara Jean, I think you half-fall in love with every person you meet. It’s part of your charm. You’re in love with love.”
A Little Princess
by Frances Hodgson Burnett
“I can be a princess inside. It would be easy to be a princess if I were dressed in cloth of gold, but it is a great deal more of a triumph to be one all the time when no one knows it.”
